Nadal still set to play Kyrgios in Wimbledon semi-final despite 'seven millimetre abdominal tear'

Rafael Nadal suffered massively with an abdominal problem in particular during his Quarter-Final win over Taylor Fritz at Wimbledon in a heroic effort from the legendary Spaniard to win in five sets despite the advice of his father Sebastian and his sister.

But it seems that despite Fabio Fognini calling out Nadal for apparently not being injured during his tie that he will face Nick Kyrgios in a highly anticipated 'grudge' match in the semi-finals with a 7mm abdominal tear.

This is according to MARCA, the Spanish publication with medical tests releasing the findings this morning and after spending the week not exercising his serve in training, Marc Lopez will test it today but despite the news, Nadal will play on.

It is not the first time he has done so as during the 2009 edition of the US Open, he suffered with the same issue albeit with a 2cm tear and he faced Juan Martin Del Potro in the semi-finals winning through.
