Australiaโs tennis star
Nick Kyrgios has stated that he is
feeling great and is taking one day at a time in his recovery from knee injuries.
The 28-year-old has been out of action for more than a year
after suffering a knee injury back in 2022. It was because of this reason, he ended
up missing all Grand Slams in 2023. He also missed the first major tournament in
2024 as well.
Kyrgios was recently quoted in a report where he stated that
he is feeling โgreatโ and that he is taking it โone day at a timeโ. โIโm
feeling great but taking it one day at a time,โ he said. โIt was a pretty
significant surgery so we will see how it goes.โ
Kyrgios was recently named in a UTS event in New York later
this year where five top players will take part in a competition where the
prize money will be $1 million.
The Canberra-born also talked about the event which
according to him is the โfutureโ of tennis and that he is looking forward to
enjoying the โmusic and cultureโ in New York.
โUTS is the future for sure,โ he said. โUnbelievable
experience in LA. Patrick (Mouratoglou) has it down. For me itโs the energy,
the music and the culture,โ he said. โThat brings out the best in me. Itโs much
more like basketball than tennis. I always love playing in the US and feel
really comfortable there.โ
