Nick Kyrgios set for awkward Boris Becker reunion amid social media feud after Aussie ace confirmed for Eurosport gig

Nick Kyrgios may not be playing at the 2024 Australian Open between 14-28 January, but he will be part of a stellar commentary team for Eurosport at the tournament, it has been confirmed.
Kyrgios, the outspoken and entertaining Aussie ace who won the 2022 Australian Open men's doubles has continued his injury woes with his wrist being a prominent issue meaning he only played one match in 2023 in a losing effort in Stuttgart. He wasn't ready to play in Melbourne, but will feature in some way in 2024.
"This is a very disappointing time for me, but I won't be able to compete at the 2024 Australian Open," Kyrgios said on platform, OnlyFans on his withdrawal.
"Obviously, heartbreaking. I've had so many amazing memories there, and I just want to really get back to playing at the top of my game and doing it right, and I need a little more time."
But in joining Eurosport, he is set for an awkward reunion with Boris Becker who alongside John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Justine Henin, Alex Corretja, Barbara Schett, Tim Henman and Laura Robson are part of their team from Sunday onwards. There has been a simmering feud between the two surrounding Kyrgios' thoughts on the previous generation being able to play now and both exchanged numerous barbs on social media before the Aussie said he was done with the back and forth.
Now they will be colleagues on air. He has done some previous commentary work with a superb stint on Tennis Channel during the ATP Finals showing that post tennis, he could yet have a future behind the scenes on commentary and punditry duty and he will bring his outspoken flair to the team on Eurosport.
