Nishikori commits to playing Delray Beach Open next year as comeback begins

Kei Nishikori has committed to playing in the Delray Beach event next year as he hopes for a successful comeback to tennis.

No player had a worse 2022 than Kei Nishikori who missed the entire season due to several injuries. First surgery and then multiple setbacks have kept the Japanese player away from the action but he hopes to make a return next year.

The official page of the Delray Beach Open announced that Nishikori plans to play at the event but it's unclear whether that event will be first in his schedule. He recently admitted that he hopes to play at the Australian Open having wanted to return recently at some challenger events.

He is currently unranked due to innactivity.
