"Novak Djokovic brought him back down to Earth" - Tennis fans celebrate Djokovic smashing Tiafoe

A lot of tennis fans were outraged last night by what they perceived as a 'lack of respect' from Francis Tiafoe and jack Sock towards Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Most fans did not enjoy seeing Federer bow out of tennis with a loss and Tiafoe was the player that caught most of the heat for it. He was slammed on social media and his socials were bombarded with all sorts of comments and the vast majority of those fans celebrated heavily when Djokovic smashed the American one day later.

"Tiafoe has played so incredibly well these past few months. His improvement is through the roof. His 2nd serve, in particular, is no longer a liability. And yet. And yet he’s overmatched completely."

"Didn’t watch the match but from what I’m reading Tiafoe played well and still lost 6-1 6-3. Now let it sink in Tiafoe made the US Open semis losing just 1 set, beat Nadal and was a set away from the final. That’s how far clear Djokovic is in being the best player in the world."
