Novak Djokovic courted controversy during his Wimbledon final defeat for smashing his racquet against the net pole in frustration.
Djokovic lost out to Carlos Alcaraz and received a code violation for the incident which left a dent into the pole.
Andrew Castle, the commentator at the time remarked that he should sign it and donate the money to charity.
But he will donate some of his prize money technically after it was confirmed that he will be fined £6,117.
Ironically though, it is only a tiny percentage of his purse with £1.175m for finishing runner-up. A small price to pay for Djokovic.
For reference, Mirra Andreeva was fined £6,190 for smashing the racquet many see as by accident during her loss to Madison Keys without leaving any lasting damage to the net pole.
Many also remarked that he did it on purpose instead of on the ground to stop further punishment and a potential default.
