Novak Djokovic is in firm control of the race to the 2024
Olympic Games after the latest season came to a close. He sealed a 7th ATP Finals title last Sunday and finished 2023 with the most singles titles with 7 out of 12 tournaments played.
Djokovic will head towards Paris with 6,500 points currently ahead of Carlos Alcaraz who led the race for most of the second half of the season. He is now forced to play catch-up to the Serbian ace. He trails by 1,820 points.
Jannik Sinner rounds out the top three as a result of being a runner-up at the ATP Finals. While Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev follow. Zverev of course won the gold in Tokyo.
In terms of the US charges, Ben Shelton is the top male in 10th. With only four per country featuring, a fight with Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Sebastian Korda and Christopher Eubanks will all ensue. Zhizhen Zhang is the only player assured of his spot in Paris after winning the Asian Games this past Autumn.
Rafael Nadal will likely need a special exemption to play alongside Carlos Alcaraz, with the dream farewell being mooted for some time.
