Facing each other 50 times since 2006, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have created one of the most vibrating rivalries in tennis history, the one that produced some of the greatest matches ever.
Since 2015, Novak has had the edge in their rivalry, winning ten of their 14 encounters, including that epic 2019 Wimbledon final, the most thrilling in tournament's history. Roger hasn't played since the last year's Australian Open clash against Novak, losing in straight sets and undergoing two knee surgeries in February and May.
Missing the rest of the season, Roger is back in action in Doha next week, facing Daniel Evans or Jeremy Chardy in the second round. Speaking about Novak, Roger honored the Serb as one of the greatest players of all time and said that he also made him a better competitor.
"I enjoy playing against him. We have different gamestyle, we always bring the best out of each other. Novak can go in a mood where he is not gonna miss. He is one of the greatest players ever. He made me a better player."
