Serbia leads the list of the top 20
countries with the most ATP titles in 2023, led by
Novak Djokovic's outstanding
season in which he won three Grand Slam titles. Tennis players from 20
countries secured at least one ATP tournament victory in 2023.
In total, 'Nole' claimed seven titles: Adelaide
International 1, Australian Open, French Open, Cincinnati Open, US Open, Paris
Masters, and the ATP Finals. Additionally, Dusan Lajovic added one more title
for Serbia by winning the ATP 250 Srpska Open, bringing their total to 8 titles
for the year.
Russia also occupies the top spot on the list, led by
Daniil Medvedev with five titles, including Rotterdam Open, Qatar Open, Dubai
Tennis Championships, Miami Open, and Rome Open. Andrey Rublev contributed with
his first Masters 1000 at Monte Carlo and the Swedish Open, and Karen Khachanov
won the Zhuhai Championships.
Following Russia and Serbia with eight titles each,
France and Spain come next, both with seven. The French can celebrate a
fantastic season from Adrian Mannarino, who, at 35 years old, finished at world
No. 22, the highest ranking of his career, and secured three titles. Arthur
Fils, Gael Monfils, Ugo Humbert, and Richard Gasquet each contributed with one
title.
On the other hand, Spain was led by the six titles
from world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, including the Madrid Open, Indian Wells, and
Wimbledon. His compatriot Roberto Carballes Baena added one more title at the
ATP 250 Morocco Open.
Only in the fifth position does the United States
appear, with five of its players securing titles: Taylor Fritz and Frances
Tiafoe won two each, while Chris Eubanks and Ben Shelton contributed with one
each.
