Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios had to be separated from his girlfriend by police at a hotel in Adelaide, having just returned from a trip overseas.
Kyrgios has been with his partner, Chiara Passari, for over a year and the pair were reportedly involved in a heated argument at their hotel. This led to the police being called, with Kyrgios and Passari eventually being forced to stay in separate rooms.
"An investigation was conducted, no offences were disclosed and both parties will now spend the remainder of their quarantine in separate rooms,” said a spokesperson.
The couple had been in isolation at the hotel, as they just returned from a trip abroad. Kyrgios fell in the first round at the 2021 US Open, and lost his singles and doubles matches at the recently concluded Laver Cup.
