One of the last weeks of ATP action for 2023 is upon us with a European Hard Court swing staple which previously relaunched the career of Andy Murray in particular in the European Open Antwerp.
Stefanos Tsitsipas leads a field full of some of the best names from across Europe in this ATP 250 which will take place between 16-22 October 2023. Our preview delves into the main talking points.

Tsitsipas looks for rise in form alongside fellow returnee Struff

Two players lead the field who are out of form for different reasons, with Stefanos Tsitsipas, the current World Number Six looking for a route back to title winning form.
A player who since getting together with girlfriend, Paula Badosa has not looked the same and has been dealing with constant coaching changes. Pam Shriver herself wondered if he had hit a wall and that outside interferences were playing havoc.
Mark Philippoussis through stints also with Maria Sakkari was in and out of the Tsitsipas camp twice, with father Apostolos Tsitsipas who comes under scrutiny now returning with the word from the Greek that he would never be replaced as he's family.
But he has failed to string together multiple wins this year and the Asian Hard Court run didn't reap any notable results. He will hope that Antwerp is different.
Jan-Lennard Struff in many ways has had a breakout season and one to forget. Reaching a career high of World No.21 in June, he suddenly fell quiet and injuries saw him not play from Halle in June until Zhuhai in September.
He has since played most of the Asian swing losing to Yoshihito Nishioka on his return in Zhuhai before first round losses to Casper Ruud and Matteo Arnaldi in Beijing and Shanghai. So a chance to return back to Europe with games under his belt and the chance for a good week ahead.
Also in action this next week in Antwerp include the likes of French rising star, Arthur Fils and Dominic Thiem with many top Europeans joining Tsitsipas and Struff in leading the way.
