Rising American star Ben Shelton reaches top 50 faster than Rafael Nadal did after Australian Open run

Rising star Ben Shelton trained with Rafael Nadal ahead of the Australian Open and now the American entered the top 50 in a quicker time-span than Nadal.

Rafael Nadal needed 8 events to make his way into the top 50 which is an amazing feat but that has now been improved by Shelton. The rising star needed only five events to make himself to the top 50 as he was very fortunate to sore a huge run at the Australian Open that will see him improve his ranking dramatically on Monday.

Shelton played only a handful of events but made a surprise run at this year's Australian Open. He went to the quarter-final loss to compatriot Paul. Even so, that's enough for him to make a top-50 debut on Monday. The bulk of his points come from this event with his previous results far away from this one.
