The 10-time champion
Roger Federer will return to Halle for the 18th time this June, seeking the 11th title at one of his most favorite tournaments where he feels at home.
Alongside Roger, the organizers have confirmed Daniil Medvedev, Kei Nishikori and Karen Khachanov, with more notable players ready to sign in the next couple of weeks.
Federer made a debut in Halle in 2000 and won the first time in 2003 after beating Nicolas Kiefer in the final in straight sets. Roger stayed undefeated in Halle until 2010 when Lleyton Hewitt beat him in the title clash after 29 consecutive wins.
Federer restored the order in 2013, 2014 and 2015 before losing in the semis to Alexander Zverev in 2016, beating the young German in the title clash a year later. Borna Coric stunned Roger in the final in 2018, and the Swiss claimed the tenth crown in 2019 despite not playing at his best, ousting David Goffin 7-6, 6-1.
