Holger Rune has continued his preparation for Wimbledon with victory over
Andy Murray in the Hurlingham Tennis Classic exhibition on Wednesday afternoon.
Rune was superb on serve throughout the tie and was never broken in just under two hours 6-4, 6-4. Murray had chance to at 3-2 in the first set to go 4-2 up but Rune survived four break chances.
Murray initially had to survive break point going 4-3 up but wasn't so lucky next time around as Rune swept his service game before closing out the set to love.
The momentum continued for Rune who broke to begin the second set which was the pivotal break as he went on to seal it on his first match point at 6-4.
Stan Wawrinka was due to play this afternoon against Chinese star Yibing Wu but has seemingly withdrawn despite being seen practicing this morning at Wimbledon.
Quentin Halys has taken his spot. Novak Djokovic is also set for action this week, with Carlos Alcaraz withdrawing ahead of today's action and as a result was replaced by Murray.
