After his loss, Casper Ruud was asked if he will go to The Weeknd concert tomorrow: “It’s tomorrow, so maybe. I think I have doubles tomorrow. So actually I have a good excuse to stay. I think I might try to catch the show, yes.” 😂
Casper Ruud's grass court preparation saw him go and watch Canadian singer The Weeknd with one of the dates being on artificial grass and he may continue that after his early exit at Wimbledon.
Ruud was dumped out on Thursday afternoon by Liam Broady with the Brit wildcard bageling the fourth seed in a late slump as he headed out.
Asked if he would continue his tour of seeing the singer, he said that being in London could be on his side.
Only now playing doubles, he could make his date at the London Stadium, home of West Ham tomorrow.
“It’s tomorrow, so maybe. I think I have doubles tomorrow. So actually I have a good excuse to stay. I think I might try to catch the show, yes.”
Some criticised this viewpoint from Ruud saying : "But if this were Kyrgios" as well as "I don't know what's worse his play on grass or his taste in music."
As well as him being dubbed 'unserious' and a 'tool' by another: "Djokovic winning #23 against this guy seriously? Mardy Fish would be a better fight than this tool."
Others in the quotes said that he has won the idgaf (I don't give a f***) war. Next up for Ruud will be Hamburg and Bastad where he will play the European Open and Nordea Open respectively.
So back to familiar surroundings on the European clay.
