Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov will lead their country into battle at next month's ATP Cup in one of the youngest teams in the tournament but one of the fastest rising.
Both Auger-Aliassime and Shapovalov have played for ATP Tour titles and finished the season inside the World's Top 25.
“These two guys really have almost fulfilled every expectation, at this stage to both be where they are,” said Tom Tebbutt, a longtime Canadian tennis writer about the team.
Both players have endured brilliant rises; with both coming up the ranks together to now when they will get to lead their countries.
Shapovalov has endured a brilliant end to the season; they faced off in the US Open with Tebbutt saying: “Denis played really, really well against him at the US Open."
Both players despite Auger-Aliassime getting injured towards the back end of the season have an upward trajectory and they will both be in good spirits ahead of anchoring their country in Australia.
