Nick Kyrgios and
Thanasi Kokkinakis will be teaming up in the double for
Wimbledon and it will be their first doubles event this year.
Kyrgios and Kokkinakis won the 2022 Australian Open doubles trophy and it began their journey as a very good doubles team. They would play a few more events earning enough points for the ATP Finals where they won one of three matches played. Many assumed that they would continue to play doubles together this year and they likely would have, but Kyrgios got injured missing quite a bit of time this year.
He's back now to playing and the team will be pairing up for the first event since the ATP Finals last year. It's going to be great seeing the duo on grass because they could actually do a lot of damage. Both of them are pretty solid grass players with the skillset needed to do well. Both have a very good serve, are quite tall making it easier to catch balls on the net and can volley.
They proved themselves capable of going far as well which means that they are likely going to go far at SW19 as well. Both of them being fan favourites is something that should make the whole experience for fans great as well. Expect some great matches from the duo and possibly a Wimbledon trophy.
