Maria Sakkari has put her poor Nottingham showing behind her by reaching the semi-finals of the Bett1 Open Berlin with an action packed Saturday set in Germany.
Most of the Quarter-Final action will be played on Saturday but also the semi-finals with the final on Sunday.
Sakkari took out Marketa Vondrousova to start the day 7-6, 6-1 defying an opening set which was nervy on the part of the Greek.
An early lead was quickly wiped out as Vondrousova broke Sakkari at the second time of asking. She moved into the lead and there would be no further break of serve for the rest of the set.
But despite losing her serve twice in the tie-break, Sakkari found a way to break her resolve and it spelled the beginning of the end as Sakkari wrapped up the second in less than half an hour.
She moved 3-1 ahead and won her serve again before breaking to leave her the chance to serve it out.
She will face Donna Vekic in the last four who ended the run of Russian rising star, Elina Avanesyan 6-2, 7-6 and will now face Sakkari on Saturday afternoon.
