Stefanos Tsitsipas will leave the top 10 on Monday in the ATP Ranking Update after Taylor Fritz sealed victory in Delray Beach over Rinky Hijikata to set up a semi-final with Marcos Giron.
Tsitsipas has been in the top 10 continuously since March 2019 during his run at the top of the sport and heralds a lull for Greek tennis also with Maria Sakkari over in the WTA also set to leave the top 10 for the first time in a number of years amid having a coaching change and aiming to recapture her form.
But also the Tsitsipas loss could have unexpected caveats with a never before seen statistic set to take place if Alex de Minaur wins in the Rotterdam Open semi-finals later on Saturday. And as he did (updated), there are now no one handed players in the top 10 for the first time in ATP history.
De Minaur is already set for a new career high with the Australian currently up to World No.9, this has seen Fritz and Tsitsipas both fall but of course Fritz now has scope if De Minaur loses to overtake him again if he continues his run at Delray Beach. An interesting day of action awaits in the ATP Top 10.

Taylor Fritz’ win tonight means Stefanos Tsitsipas will exit the top 10 on Monday after continuously being in it since March 2019… If Dimitrov loses to de Minaur in the Rotterdam semis, there will be no one-handed backhand players in the top 10 for the first time in ATP history
