After not being able to complete the start of the year he expected due to side problems that prevented him from playing tournaments such as the Australian Open, Indian Wells or Monte Carlo, it finally seems that Rafael Nadal is back on track to be able to compete at Roland Garros.
So, the plan that he and his team set before the Conde de Godo was to play 2 matches in Barcelona and then at least 3 in Madrid and Rome. The first step has been taken: Rafa made it through the round at the Barcelona Open and played a very good first set against Alex de Miñaur.
Then, knowing that reaching the third set competing one on one against the Australian was too much, let's say he let himself go in the second set. Now comes the second part of the plan: the Madrid Open. Rafa has already traveled to the Spanish capital and has started his training. He will make his debut next week on Wednesday or Thursday in the first round.
