Thiem laments poor form woes: "If I keep going with this level, everyone will want to play against me"

Dominic Thiem is not playing good tennis right now and it's not looking very promising either with the Austrian fully aware how bad his tennis lately has been.

Thiem showed some promise late last year with some solid performances making fans believe he is on his way back to his best. That didn't happen though as his level this year has been really bad. It's almost like it's getting worse with every match that he plays because even on clay, he's not looking very good.

Speaking after one of his matches, Thiem said:

"I don't put my opponents in difficulty. If I keep going with this level, everyone will want to play against me. In practice I do a lot of good things, but when I'm in on the court I don't know what happens to me."

He recently worried fans by admitting that he thinks about post-tennis life all the time:

"I’m constantly thinking of a life beyond tennis. I think that tennis was, for a long time, the only part of my life, which is good in one way but if you’re getting older it’s not good anymore, you need a life beyond tennis, you need other thoughts in your head, other things to do and the injury time out and tough time to come back helped me in those terms and I’m very happy about it."
