There will be no rest for
Dominic Thiem as the World No.4 has taken a wildcard into the
Mallorca Championships which is set to take place on the grass courts in Spain between June 20-26.
Thiem will take in the tournament as part of his Wimbledon preparation as he aims to put a disappointing Roland Garros behind him.
This saw him lose early on to Pablo Andujar after previously holding two final defeats on the clay of Paris.
He has never been past the fourth round at Wimbledon albeit before his rise to the higher echelons of the rankings.
So it seems instead of seeking a break from tennis for a short time, the Austrian ace will return to the ATP 250 circuit with the tournament set to be held for the first time.
