Alcaraz and Sinner are like Nadal and Federer. No racket breaking, no gamesmanship, just exquisite tennis between two friends. The future is bright for tennis! ๐ช๐ธ๐ฎ๐น
In a repeat of the 2023 Indian Wells final, Carlos Alcaraz will face Daniil Medvedev. The streak of Jannik Sinner stretching back to November last year is finally over after a rain-delayed comeback special win for the Spaniard.
It was a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in just over two hours for Alcaraz as the Spaniard in particular was deadly in attacking the serve of the Italian. The Australian Open champion who at one point looked to be cruising towards the victory admitted that Alcaraz deserved to win and that he made a few mistakes that he realises and wants to correct for next time around.
"He [Carlos Alcaraz] makes things very difficult to play obviously, he puts a lot of pressure on you," Jannik Sinner said.
"I have to improve couple of things and trying to beat him again. I think that's also the good and positive side of this sport. Today, I made the mistakes," Sinner added.
"I mean, I think it was still a great match. I think we both played really good. There were some entertaining rallies. I mean, he deserved today to win, and I wish him good luck in the final."
