After reaching the first Major semi-final at the Australian Open 2019,
Stefanos Tsitsipas had to wait for over a year and a half to embrace another at
Roland Garros last October.
Spending a couple of hours with his followers on Twitter, Stefanos answered many exciting questions about tennis and life in general. Asked about things he would love to ban, Stefanos cracked a joke and said - Rafa playing at the French Open. While Tsitsipas gave his best to challenge Novak Djokovic in five sets in the semis, Rafa went all the way to claim his 13th Roland Garros crown in the previous 16 years!
At 34, the Spaniard won the title without losing a set, celebrating his 100th victory in Paris from 102 encounters following a dominant 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 triumph over Djokovic, joining Roger Federer on 20 Major titles. Nadal didn't lift the trophy in Paris in 2009, 2015 and 2016, bouncing back in 2017 and extending his unprecedented reign that will never be matched at any Major.
Nadal and Tsitsipas have met seven times so far, with Rafa scoring six wins. The only triumph for the Greek came in Madrid 2019 when he toppled the greatest clay-courter in three sets.
