Defending champion in Paris is Holger Rune who won the title last year famously defeating Novak Djokovic. Both will be back this year, with Rune now working with Boris Becker.

Novak Djokovic since then has extended his Grand Slam haul to 24 and will play in his first tournament since winning the US Open again in terms of main singles. Carlos Alcaraz will join him as the top player.

This after an injury scare took the Spaniard out of Basel this past week, but he will look to be rested and ready for the next run of tournaments.
