The Monte-Carlo Masters is the first ATP 1000 clay-court event of the season, and this year it's slated to run from April 9-16, 2023.
The tournament takes place at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France and will see the return of defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas. World No.1 Novak Djokovic is scheduled to compete, although 11-time champion Rafael Nadal has announced his withdrawal due to a lingering hip injury.
Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz will also be absent from the event, as the 2022 US Open champion is also recovering from an injury. Nonetheless, the star-studded event will still feature several members of the top 10, with the aforementioned Tsitsipas returning, in addition to the in-form Daniil Medvedev Casper Ruud and Jannik Sinner.
