Thiem who has not played since suffering a right wrist injury against Adrian Mannarino in Mallorca will have hopes to return at the Australian Open early next year.
But one tournament, he won't be attending is the Vienna Open according to news agency Heute his wait to get vaccinated has stopped him attending.
He said earlier this month: “I haven’t been vaccinated yet,” Thiem stated. “I want to wait for the Novavax vaccine because I heard from my doctor that it should be really good.”
