Alexander Bublik is certainly known not to hold back when it comes to his on court rants often not heard initially due to them being in Russian. But he launched into a tirade at Dominic Thiem during their US Open clash.
Thiem won his first Grand Slam match since the 2021 Australian Open defeating Bublik 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 on the opening day of the US Open.
But the Kazakh let his feelings known throughout the tie calling Thiem disabled and going into further rants other than towards the former US Open champion.
But in the end, it didn't matter much in terms of giving Bublik a boost as Thiem still won.
‘I’m f**king sick of giving careers back to handicapped people,” Clay magazine translated.
He also had another expletive filled rant. “I can’t play here, #####. I don’t want to come here at all. I just can’t play here. What am I doing wrong? He will just stand and throw. He doesn’t even have to do anything, I still ###### [lose]. If I ###### [lose], I will go home tomorrow.” Championat confirmed Bublik said.
