After defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry in four sets,
Stan Wawrinka set up a mouth-watering clash with
Novak Djokovic at
Wimbledon, with the multiple Grand Slam champion joking post-match about not wanting to know his Head to Head.
Wawrinka will face Djokovic tomorrow after reaching the third round for the first time since 2015.
Djokovic himself had his say joking that Wawrinka in terms of meaning to his career stole two Grand Slam titles from him.
Ahead of their 26th meeting, Wawrinka preempted potential questioning saying: "Don't tell me the score."
Before the interviewer pointed out that they had never played on grass, he responded. "I will enjoy it if I don't get killed."
Looking forward to ticking grass off before he retires
He also hinted that it could be the one and only time they do face on the surface: "He's been an amazing champion to watch, the way he is playing is always special but we never play on grass and I'm quite happy to have the chance to play him one time before I finish playing.
"It's going to be a big challenge, hopefully, I can play a higher level and be competitive. Like always against him, I'm going to always try and push to the maximum and we will see what happens."
