The one-handed backhand is a rarity in modern tennis yet Roger Federer never shied away from showcasing his. Such was the case yesterday in the match against Auger-Aliassime. The Swiss maestro played a great first set winning it 6-4 before losing the next two 6-3 6-2. At 3-3 in the first set, Feder got his first break point and he converted it with a beauty.
Federer countered the forehand of Auger-Aliassime with a beautiful backhand passing shot that was spot on. It won him the game on Auger-Aliassime's serve which proved crucial in the first set.
