The 34-years-old Spaniard defeated Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 to win his 13th Roland Garros title and record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title. Despite the face that players spent only 2 hours and 43 minutes on the court, and Nadal was dominant in the first two sets, the match was full of brilliant rallies and sensational strokes from both players.
As many times before, they both proved why they are part of the so called 'Big Three' and belong to the most successful people to ever hold a tennis racket. Although, it seemed that the Spanish King of the Clay had everything under control in the first two sets, 8 out of the first 11 games reached the 'deuce' and so there was no need for tension or drama.
