Bulgaria’s tennis star Grigor
Dimitrov pranked a host of fellow stars into saying important words for a promo.
The 32-year-old is currently taking
part in the ATP 1000
Shanghai Masters where he is doing wonders on the court and
has already booked his place in the last-eight after a stunning victory over the
current world number two Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
Despite his heroics on the court, Dimitrov
took some time out to be involved in a prank with fellow tennis stars into
saying important words for a promo.
The list of players who participated
in the prank unknowingly were the likes of Alcaraz, America’s Taylor Fritz, Ben
Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, and Russia’s Andrey Rublev.
Dimitrov will now face Chile’s Nicolas
Jarry in the quarterfinal of the event on Friday where he will be hoping to produce
another impressive performance and book his place in the last four.
Both players have faced off twice at
the highest level where Jarry has a clear edge with two wins.
Their most recent meeting came in
May earlier this year in the final of the Gonet Geneva Open where Chile’s
tennis star came out on top in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-1.
