Famous tennis coach Rick Macci
reveals why the former world number one Switzerland’s
Roger Federer has the
best forehand of all time.
The 42-year-old retired from the
sport last year after struggling with fitness concerns for a long period of
time.
Macci, in a post on his official
account on the social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — stated that
the reason behind Federer’s immaculate backhand was his ability to not give his
opponent any time to prepare for the shot.
“The best Forehand of all time is
close with Rafa but @rogerfederer is the leader in the stroking clubhouse
because of the incredible element he took the ball so early on the Rise gave
you a Suprise in the blink of an Eye say Goodbye. TENNIS IS A GAME OF TIME.”
Federer is often regarded as one
of the greatest players in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era.
He became the first player in the
men’s singles category to win more than 15 Grand Slam titles. He was also the
first to lift 20 Grand Slams.
Federer’s most successful
competition was Wimbledon where he ended up lifting the title eight times which
is still a record in the tournament’s history.
