Rafael Nadal not only lost out in the second round of the 2023
Australian Open as well as being injured by the end of it but also lost his temper and erupted at the chair umpire.
Not his performance being the issue for Nadal but more that during the changeover, it was the placement of towels as he went 4-1 down saying they were too far away due to the dimensions of the court.
He made the point that it affected how long he had on the serve clock before claiming that it is always the same when Marijana Veljovic is umpiring.
"Every time, I am in rush, even serving normal. Without the towel, every time, I see the clock at 5... 4..... With you it is always the same," Nadal said. "It's okay. For you it doesn't matter. But I cannot take the towel every time. It is out there."
