As the phrase goes, still got it never lost it. That can be attributed to
Roger Federer with his latest update on Thursday as he shows that despite saying otherwise in the media in recent years, he hasn't fully let go of tennis.
A winner of 20 Grand Slam titles, Federer will be the subject of a documentary from Amazon Prime before Wimbledon as his final 12 days as a pro are looked back on as well as interviews with some of his contemporaries such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
He has stayed out of tennis aside from celebrations of his career which have happened at Wimbledon and Shanghai with murmurings of him becoming a commentator seemingly unfounded. But suddenly, he was seen trading forehands and backhands against a wall with his footwork still very much evident. Shared to Twitter, fans on his Instagram were purring about the great.
It comes also on a week where the single handed backhand is now obsolete in the top 10 with Stefanos Tsitsipas falling out of the higher echelons of the rankings. A proponent of that, the Federer style is seemingly on its way out for now.
