The Laver Cup will head to the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco and
Roger Federer was on site to watch their match and also surprise NBA icon Steph Curry as they posed for a photo op and he also joined the huddle with the team.
He joined in with the customary 'Just Us' chant and also showed that there isn't a sport he can't not turn his hand to as he attempted shooting some hoops and went a perfect four out of four with the video shared online.
Icon meets an icon and Federer showed his talents very much extend off the tennis court. He also could be a captain at the Laver Cup by then with the Swiss ace not putting it off the cards that he will replace Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe in the future who are coming to the end of their stints.
Federer has kept a fairly low profile tennis wise since his retirement in 2022 apart from the Laver Cup and has been very much enjoying himself off court taking holidays, spending time with family and friends and attending sporting events with no such desire to return to the sport even in commentary. Unlike other legends that have come before him and this crossover proves that he still holds the appeal with other big name sportsman as they all flocked to have their picture with him.
His appearance didn't prove a lucky omen though as Golden State Warriors lost 126-113 at the Chase Center as Federer watched on.
