Tennis fans questioned if Nick Kyrgios has been hacked after he seemingly threw his support behind the PIF (Public Investment Fund) of Saudi Arabia seemingly investing in the ATP Tour.
It was confirmed yesterday that Saudi Arabia are in talks to acquire a stake in the world of tennis with the likelihood being of Jeddah hosting the Next Gen Finals this year.
Kyrgios is currently out of action and faces a struggle to be fit for Wimbledon but aired his views on the subject which didn't sit well with many.
"Finally they see the value, we are going to get paid what we deserve to be paid. Sign me up," said Kyrgios on Twitter followed by money bag emojis.
But this of course drew the ire of tennis fans in the comments with sportwashing a main drawback for many to the Saudi Arabia investments into sport.
"This is sportwashing bro," wrote one. While another pointed out that while he may support this, they would prefer a certain surface Kyrgios doesn't. "I hear they love clay courts in Saudi."
Another pointed out that he has made lots of money already in his career so doesn't get the point. "You’ve made $12M+ playing tennis. Why do you want to sell your soul to the Saudis?!?"

FINALLY. THEY SEE THE VALUE. WE ARE GOING TO GET PAID WHAT WE DESERVE TO GET PAID. SIGN ME UP πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°
