Lindsey
Vonn, former skier, hails
Rafael Nadal and
Novak Djokovic as the greatest of all time, sparking
controversy among fans. The American, renowned as one of the greatest skiers in
history and a close friend of the 20-time Grand Slam champion
Roger Federer,
shared a skiing trip with him a few days ago.
After
showcasing their meeting on Instagram, Vonn made it clear that Federer is the
GOAT, a comment that irked some Novak Djokovic fans, who criticized Vonn's
supposed inconsistency: 'Okay first it was Roger, now Nole, when are you going
to tell us that Rafa is the GOAT for you?' some fans asked.
The skier
responded with humor to the comments and considered all three, Federer,
Djokovic, and Nadal, as the greatest of all time: 'Yup, he is! Hahaha. I think
the big 3 are goats. Their impact in the sport can’t be denied. And also, it’s
just my opinion so…,' she wrote with a video of Nadal at the recent Netflix
Slam.
Later, Vonn
shared a photo with Djokovic and also asserted that he is the best of all time.
According to the North American, there can be more than one GOAT in her
opinion:
“Hanging
with the GOAT and yes, I do believe he is the goat. Contrary to twitter
beliefs, I think there can be more than one. But
@DjokerNole holds the records and I have nothing but respect for what he’s
achieved… and he skis!”
