Carlos Moya is not worried about Rafael Nadal missing a lot of time as the former player expects the Spaniard to come out strong after his long rehab.
Nadal is going to play at Roland Garros and while nobody is surprised by that news, some have concerns as to what Nadal will look like once he's back on a tennis court. It's been a long time since he played and tennis, like most sports, is a game of rhythm and form. Not having any preparation for the event will certainly be a factor but his coach Moya is not worried.
He alluded to the fact that Nadal always comes back with good results:
“He continues with confidence. With Rafa you can always expect him to pull a rabbit out of the hat. That's why I think it's been an urban legend that Nadal needs a lot of matches to be ready, when he’s returned from injury he always achieved good results”
Time will tell whether that happens again but for now, fans will be hoping to see Nadal in at least one preparatory event before Roland Garros. It could go a long way.
