Germany’s tennis star Alexander Zverev believes that former world
number one Rafael Nadal will play ‘a lot better’ in the upcoming French Open.
The second Grand Slam of the year is set to begin from May 26 to June 09 where
players from all over the world will participate to showcase their talent.
Zverev, who recently won the Rome Open after beating Chile’s
Nicolas Jarry in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 7-5, was
quoted in a report where he talked about his potential rivals, such as Novak Djokovic, Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner, in the upcoming mega-event. The 27-year-old specifically said that the former world number one will be' a lot better’ than he did in the recent past.
"Nole is going
to be at his best. You'll see. It's just the way it is,” he said. “Rafa is
going to play a lot better than he did in Madrid and Rome. I'm certain about
that. I saw Jannik posted a picture of him practicing again, so I'm assuming
he's fine and feeling good on the tennis court. Look, it's all about health.
When they're healthy, they're two of the best players in the world.”
