Alexander Zverev saw off
Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the ATP Finals and will face Daniil Medvedev later today.
Debate has swirled around regarding Djokovic and his vaccination status leading to him potentially not playing at the
Australian Open in early 2022.
While he hasn't revealed his status, the general consensus is that he is potentially unvaccinated which would mean he wouldn't play.
For Zverev though he believes that as World No.1, he should be given an exemption.
"This is not about tennis, this is about the virus. We are visiting a different country and they are allowing us to enter: we need to follow the rules. Djokovic is number 1 in the world so he should be there, hopefully the government will make an exemption or whatever," said Zverev post match.
