Alexander Zverev finished off
J.J. Wolf one day after their match started with the German proving calm and getting it done in two sets 6-4 7-5 to advance at the
Rome Open.
Zverev and Wolf played on Monday however their match was abandoned as rain interfered with the programme. One day later Zverev and Wolf returned to the courts but the German still had an upper hand beating him 7-5 in the second set to finish things off. The first set was very solid from Zverev who served well and had a really good showing from the baseline.
He really didn't have a problem in the first set dominating on his serve rather easily and then patiently waiting for a chance on the serve of Wolf. TH second set was very similar but this time around Wolf was able to break Zverev once. It happened last night when they played as their traded early breaks at the start of the set.
Upon today's return Zverev continued to play well and he finished things off 7-5 securing a rematch with Medvedev. It should be interesting as their msot recent one in Monte-Carlo was very heated.
