The first semi-final is set at the Halle Open with Alexander Zverev set to face Alexander Bublik or as it can be stylised Sascha v Sascha after contrasting routes through.
Zverev is into his first grass court semi-final in six years at the Halle Open after defeating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.
It was a close first set which saw both hit four aces and have 24 rallies in which Zverev won 18 in all. Zverev was sharper on the second serve which proved the difference as he took it 7-5.
The second set saw Zverev take the lead once more and despite rallies continuing, it was a lot more simpler for the German to find his way through with 12 aces and 22 winners.
This after Bublik saw off Jannik Sinner with the latter seeing his Wimbledon left in doubt after retiring against the Kazakh.
It was a 5-7, 0-2 retirement. The Italian played in 's-Hertogenbosch last week and defeated Bublik. But this time after going a break down to Bublik in the second set, he elected to shake hands with no reason given as to why he decided to retire from the match.
This will likely all become clear though if he plays Wimbledon or not in the coming weeks.
