Emma Raducanu has shared photos of herself exploring the streets of Shenyang, China, as she trains for her comeback to the
WTA Tour.
Raducanu has been forced to miss a large part of the 2023 season due to wrist and ankle injuries. She has not competed since the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix as she decided to get surgery to help her with wrist pain that had been troubling her for years.
As a result, she was forced to skip the French Open, Wimbledon, and the ongoing
US Open, where she claimed her first and only Grand Slam title to date two years ago. However, she seems to be enjoying herself in the city of Shenyang as she trains for the start of her comeback at the end of the year.
Raducanu shares photos on Weibo
The 21-year-old has posted pictures of her downtime in Shenyang on the Chinese social media site Weibo. In one photo, she can be seen posing among decor and lighting.
Raducanu also shared some artistic shots of everyday life in Shengyang, including a photo of the rain-soaked streets and of the city from a distance, along with two pictures focussing on a statue and a melon.
She captioned the post, "How about the photos I took?"
The Brit is set for a return to the sport in December, where she will play at an exhibition tournament in the Chinese region of Macau.
She has previously shared photos of her training in the country as she works to get back to form now that her injuries are hopefully not causing her any more issues.
Her time away from the sport has allowed Raducanu to explore several hobbies, and she has shared photos and videos of her doing so. Recently, she posted a clip of her playing the piano and indulged in her love of golf via a sponsorship video.
