Roger Federer visits Monte-Carlo Masters for promotional activities
Roger Federer made an appearance at the Monte-Carlo Masters, this time off the court, where he was accompanied by his wife, Mirka Federer, and participated in several promotional activities for the tournament. The former World No. 1, who never won Monte-Carlo, lost in three consecutive finals to Rafael Nadal (2006-2008) and later to his compatriot Stan Wawrinka in 2014.
However, the legendary 20-time Grand Slam champion was received as the legend he is, touring the courts, participating in a photoshoot, and engaging in other promotional activities. "I love being back here, seeing it, and it's been a great tournament to come and play for me as well,” the Swiss Maestro said. “A lot of traditions as well, those traditions run deep, and in tennis, we love our heritage, our history, and the best players in the world have always played here.2
“I have a photo shoot for Oliver Peoples today, which is actually a lot of fun. I've done some studio photo shoots in the past, also shot one in LA a couple of years back, and now we're using the backdrop of Monaco, which I was very excited about. You can check out my collection here; there's a booth, so for those lucky fans that come here to the tennis, they actually have the Oliver Peoples store, which I hope they can enjoy."
