chance to compete in the Olympics for the first time, in a venue where she
recently achieved good results.
At the
recent French Open, her first tournament since August 2023, she defeated
clay-court specialist Sara Sorribes Tormo and then the 23rd seed Anna
Kalinskaya. She was defeated in the third round by the eventual runner-up
Jasmine Paolini. Here you can find Andreescu’s video from the Central Court at
Roland Garros, where the Olympic tournament will be held.

Team USA
Men's Tennis: Ready for Olympic glory

their female counterparts. A photo shared on social media shows them in their
official United States Olympic attire, featuring Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul,
Christopher Eubanks, Marcos Giron, and doubles specialists Austin Krajicek and
Rajeev Ram.
The last
time the men's tennis team won a medal in Olympic singles was in Athens 2004
when Mardy Fish took silver after losing to Chilean Nicolás Massú in the final.
To recall the last gold, one must go back to Atlanta 1996 when Andre Agassi
defeated Spain's Sergi Bruguera in the final.
However,
they did secure gold in 2012 thanks to the legendary Bryan brothers.
Additionally, the USA won bronze medals in doubles in 2008 and 2016.
