David Goffin became the latest high-profile tennis player to cast doubt about the US Open citing the rising number of cases in America.

The US Open has been at the forefront of many tennis related news lately as many player's have spoken about their unwillingness to travel to a country and particularly a highly populated city as New York to participate at the US Open. The rising number of cases in America isn't helping the organizers their cause. The governor of the state of New York recently reaffirmed his commitment to hold the event.
But more and more players have cast doubt about their participation. One of the latest ones is David Goffin who spoke about the situation:
"I would love to go and fit it into my schedule, but I don't know if we will go at the moment. The cases over there are increasing so I don't know if it's good to go but we will try. We will practice on hard courts in preparation for the Cincinnati Masters and US Open."
He became just the latest name to share his doubts about the event joining players such as Halep and Nadal. He didn't completely rule it out either saying that his team is closely watching the situation and if things change he might go. On that he said:
"We would love to hear more details and then it will be more clear for us to make a choice."
