Paula Badosa and
Stefanos Tsitsipas finally played doubles together during The Kites successful opener at the
World Tennis League which saw the former play with best friend, Aryna Sabalenka also who anchored the team home to victory.
But she also mistakenly dropped a marriage hint which baffled her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas in the post match interview on court. After not being able to play at Wimbledon in mixed doubles, they finally took to the court together with the Greek impressing in particular throughout. They took down Daniil Medvedev and Sofia Kenin and showed their chemistry on court counted in the victory.
The former World No.2 issued a hilarious ultimatum when asked what would've happened if Kenin and Medvedev would've sealed victory. “I mean, I think this was the test. Like, either we get divorced or this goes better and better. So that was the test today,” Paula Badosa joked during the on-court interview. Tsitsipas then looked puzzled and took a step back before retorting. “You mean break up?” he asked. “Yeah. Divorce, no. Break up. Sorry,” the Spaniard clarified. “I was trying to wait for a moment. I was thinking, since when I was married or something,” he continued. “But apparently there are some hints in there.”
Before he complimented his girlfriend who he's been dating since May 2023 calling her his 'favourite female tennis player'. “It went amazing. It went amazing. I mean, it’s a pure pleasure to be sharing with not just Paula but someone that, you know, I’ve been following for a few years. I mean, my favourite female tennis player."
