Emma Raducanu has got many people talking about her tennis when on song, but at the same time there has been numerous fans eagerly awaiting an update on her love life. The latest clue may have just appeared on her Instagram page after Raducanu was pictured with a man by her side.
She had been to watch England face New Zealand at Twickenham last Saturday, with the Red Roses coming out on top in a 33-19 triumph over the All Blacks. Raducanu was a guest at the match, being joined by actress Simone Ashley. Just behind her seemed to be a male friend. The tabloids had named him as Jack Coman, a New Zealand native.
They were pictured together in an
Instagram post, once more fuelling speculation. It is a topic normally surrounding Raducanu, who has tended to keep her private life to herself, not speaking much of it in interviews. However, her celebrity status has made her previously acknowledge that these rumours will crop up.
Previous relationship rumours with Alcaraz
It is not the first time Raducanu has faced media attention over her love life. After announcing her partnership with Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open mixed doubles, people got excited that the pair were more than friends. They were regularly seen together at events, with each other watching their matches live throughout the grass season.
She had been asked about it many times, answering: "We're just good friends," at a Wimbledon press conference. It was not the first time she was asked about it at Wimbledon, with her having to explain the situation ahead of her returning to SW19.
“I’ve known him for years, Wimbledon 2021 was the first time I started getting to know him, and I had a good run there and then also again in the US Open in 2021," Raducanu previously said. "We have a good relationship still. He’s obviously overtaken me a lot, but it’s nice that we have that from a while ago. I think for all of us, we really kind of value those connections that we had from when we were young because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age because you’re like, that’s a real genuine connection. Because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends but the ones that you’ve known for a long time mean a lot more to you.”
The US Open mixed doubles venture ended quickly after a disappointing opening match defeat to fellow Brit Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula. However, they have remained good friends and plan to step onto the court with each other more in the future. They were set to team up in two exhibition matches in New Jersey and Miami but has since been called off due to the 23-year-old pulling out of both events after suffering a minor injury. Her main focus will be returning to the pinnacle of tennis as she looks to continue her positive progress into 2026.
