Over the weekend, a whopping $1 million is set to be won in Las Vegas as some of the best tennis players in the world are set to roll the dice in hope of getting lucky in the
MGM Slam. It will be played out on Sunday, 1st March at the T-Mobile Arena and is available to watch worldwide at 4pm PST.
The exhibition is set to be a good platform for players to participate in as they look to prepare for the upcoming Indian Wells Open and Miami Open with a whole host of ranking points set to be on offer in the two Masters 1000 events, the first of 2026.
A star-studded lineup is in store to compete for the money on offer, with the field headlined by the American number one
Taylor Fritz. The former US Open finalist will be looking to put on a show for the home support as he looks to capitalise on the huge prize fund on offer. “It’s awesome to do an event there that’s fast-paced and exciting,” Fritz stated, ready to compete. Fellow American Tommy Paul will also be hoping to get the crowd's support on this occasion.
The highest ranked player in the tournament is
Lorenzo Musetti. The world number five has not stepped out onto the court since the disastrous retirement in the Australian Open and will look to continue his very positive form in the United States, fresh and full of energy for a busy couple of weeks starting in Las Vegas.
There could be another meeting between the Italian and
Alexander Bublik in a repeat of the Hong Kong Open final. Bublik clinched the title to move into the top 10 in the world and is still there after keeping this impressive form up. Casper Ruud is just outside the top 10 and will be desperate to get back into it with this exhibition getting him prepared for the big ATP tournaments on the horizon.
In his farewell tour, Gael Monfils is looking to cash in as he adds Las Vegas to his tour while at the other end of the spectrum, 19-year-old Joao Fonseca will be entertaining the crowd with his class and precision on court.
Nick Kyrgios completes the lineup with the Aussie having not played since the Grand Slam in Melbourne as he reappears on the exhibition circuit once more.
Nick Kyrgios will feature at the 2026 MGM Slam
They will look to follow in the footsteps of 2025 champion Aryna Sabalenka and 2024 winner Carlos Alcaraz who reaped the rewards.
It is a 10-point tiebreaker knockout singles format. Kyrgios and Bublik will face off with the winner coming up against either Musetti or Ruud in the semi-finals. On the other side of the draw, Fonseca and Monfils will go head to head with the battle of the Americans between Fritz and Paul completing the highly anticipated lineup.
